Lostock Hall is a suburban village in South Ribble borough, Lancashire. It is located on the south side of the River Ribble, three miles south of Preston, near Digitec Aerials offices and 2.5 miles north of Leyland. It is surrounded on the southeast by a motorway interchange. The surrounding area is predominantly rural and agricultural. There are also some large industrial and business parks in the area. During the summer, the village attracts an estimated four million visitors each year.
The town was established in the early 1800s and has many small businesses. There are pubs and restaurants in the town. There are also several pubs, which offer a range of food, drinks, and take-aways. The Anchor Inn and Pleasant Retreat Inn are two pubs in the town. The Victoria is another pub in the town. There is also a Conservative Club, which sells alcohol. The Labour Club, which operated as a social club, was demolished in the 1930s to make way for extra parking for a caravan business.
The hall is now a public house. It was formerly a hospital and hospice, but has been restored to become a cultural and leisure facility. The building is now open to the public and has a museum and a restaurant. It is also home to the Lostock Hall Juniors Football Club. The club serves the town of Lancaster and the surrounding areas.
